Another company — functioning on the concept of multi-level marketing coupled with social media advertising — has come to the fore for duping thousands of investors of more than Rs 200 crore. However, the police's refusal to register a complaint has left the scam's victims fuming.

Adswork.in was running a scheme, on the lines of the 'click like' scam, and promised to pay its investors Rs 9 per click. However, immediately after the Ablaze scam came to light, adswork.in stopped making payments to its members.

The aggrieved investors demanded their money back and were assured by the company that all payments will be made by February 17.

However, on the evening of February 16, the company was closed down and its director went missing.

One of the victims of the adswork.in scam filed a complaint with Noida Sector-20 police station.

However, police refused to register an FIR as he belonged to a different city.

Some other victims of the scam also joined him and went together to meet the Senior Superintendent of Noida Police.

But they did not get a satisfactory reply from there either. The aggrieved investors now plan to stage a protest at Jantar Mantar to raise their voice against the company, demanding the registration of their complaint and immediate action to be taken.
