Quoting the Bhondsi incident, Kejriwal compares Modi with Hitler;
Gurugram: Two days after a Muslim family was beaten up in Bhondsi near Gurugram, one Mahesh Kumar, resident of Naya Gaon, was arrested for the crime. He was produced in court on Saturday and sent to one day police remand.
With the growing pressure, the district administration was also forced to act swiftly on the issue. The Gurugram police has filed the case under sections of 307 (attempt of murder), 452 (house trespass), 427 (mischief causing monetary damage) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the police, on March 21 which was a day of Holi, Shahid and his friends were playing in Bhoop Singh area near Dhanwas village in Bhondsi, Sohna. During the game, the ball hit one of the persons that led to the altercation between the two groups. Subsequently the situation worsened with more men joining the opposing group. They hit Shahid and his uncle mercilessly in their home. However, according to the testimonies of the victims and the family, this was also a situation of hate crime.
According to Mohammad Dilshad, the complainant, the men were drunk and wanted the field for them to play cricket. For doing so, they made derogatory comments. After they received a sharp reaction from the other side, they indulged in violence.
Himanshu Garg, DCP south Gurugram said," We've registered an FIR on basis of statements of complainants; one accused has been arrested who's being interrogated; further probe is underway. Some people were playing cricket in playground on March 21; a ball hit someone that led to the altercation."
"We are constantly in touch with the victims, we have increased the police presence in the area; there is no need to fear. I would like to make an appeal to the people living in that area to live peacefully and maintain harmony," added the senior police official.
Meanwhile, taking up the issue, major political parties have started making sharp attacks on the Haryana government.
After Haryana Congress president pointed on the Khattar and Modi regime, the Aama Admi Part Chief also took on the Central government directly.
AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal compared Modi regime with that of Nazi Germany led by Adolf Hitler.
"For the quest of being in power even Hitler used to resort to same techniques. The goons of Hitler used to beat up the men, they used to murder them and the police also used to side up with the criminals than the victims. Modi also is going on the same as that of Hitler. Are the followers of Modi not being able to see where the country is going," said Kejriwal.
Earlier Ashok Tanwar, the Haryana Congress president, had said," A man being beaten black and blue in the broad day light reflects the inefficiency of Manohar Lal government. This is the real face of the government that came to power on the plank of crime free Haryana,"
Tanwar also did not shy away in making no holds barred attack against the Prime Minister on the poor law and order situation in the state that is affecting weak, and the minorities.
