The Delhi Police are still clueless about the identity of the dead body of a 22-year-old woman that was found behind Jamia University in South-east Delhi. Even after 10 days, all that cops know is that the woman was married (had vermillion on her forehead) and had an 'Om' tattoo on her wrist. The cops have now scanned 51 profiles of the missing girl's report from different police stations in the Capital and have appealed people from different states to identify the woman.

Speeding up the efforts to identify the woman, the cops have collected the data from all 180 police stations resembling her age and appearance but have failed to make any concrete headway. The cops are calling the parents of the missing girls in Delhi matching the dead body's description one by one.

"Since no one has come up to file a missing report, we are also conducting door-to-door verification in search of the identity of the girl. It would be easy for us to reach the conclusion once the body is identified," said a senior police officer.

The cops also suspect that the girl might be from a different state and that is one reason they have published her photo in newspapers of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar appealing the general public to identify the girl.

The body of the girl was found behind the gate number one of Jamia University on January 22. The girl had a strangulation mark on her neck and wore a black jeans and a black jacket along with a green wollen shirt. The girl also wore a 'Rudraksh Mala' on her left hand and has an 'Om' tattooed on her right wrist. The girl has injury marks on her neck that indicates initially towards strangulation.
