It is not often that the cops receive letters of appreciation from foreign nationals but sometimes the tourists are courteous enough to say "Thank You" to the cops who helped them in distress when they visited India.

Ayhan Tugba Suberk, a Turkey national visited India but soon her visit turned into a nightmare when she found that she had missed her passport and purse containing important documents in a bus that she boarded in Delhi. She was stressed as she knew the repercussions of loosing a passport in a foreign country.

She was staying in a hotel in Paharganj and reported the matter to the police. Surprisingly, she got a call from one of her friends who told her that two police officers have found her belongings.

The cops found her purse containing her passport in a DTC bus which Tugba boarded from Chandni Chowk. The purse was found at Srinivaspuri bus depot and later the cops were informed. The cops scanned the documents and found the number of one of her friends. The cops contacted the friend and got details of Tugba.

The next day two Delhi Police officers SI Mannu Dev and ASI Krishan Pal visited her hotel in Paharganj and handed over the passport and purse that she left in the bus.

"You deserve so much of appreciation for the service that you provided to find my wallet and give it back to me. Thank you for looking after me in a foreign country and being so nice. The situation helped me to remember that we still have good people and great police support," said Tubga Suberk in her appreciation letter.
