East Delhi ATM heist: 1 arrested

A 23-year-old man has been arrested from Uttar Pradesh by Delhi Police for stealing over Rs 8 lakh cash from an ATM in East Delhi's Shakarpur.

The accused Pushpendra Singh had earlier worked as a custodian at the ATM and was not satisfied with his salary. 

On January, it was found that cash worth Rs 8,62,900  was allegedly been stolen from the ATM.

Police went through the CCTV footages and noticed a person coming at the ATM cabin and trying to operate the machine. It was revealed that Singh was on his way to Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. He was apprehended from a rural area Gurshayaganj on January 29.
