Busy days are in store for Gurugram administration as it prepares for not just Republic Day but also for tackling the Jat agitation that will be held across Haryana on January 29.
To maintain high scale security on Republic Day, the Gurugram police has started barricading important areas in and around the city. Areas where barricades have been put up are Golf Course Road, M G Road, Gurugram-Faridabad road, Sohna Road, New Railway Road and Atul Kataria road. Barricades have also been placed along city's borders with Delhi, Faridabad and Jhajjar and Mewat.
Directives have also been passed by the Gurugram administration to ensure no plying of heavy vehicles in the city from 8:30 pm on January 25 to 12:30 pm on January 26. Taking into cognisance of the high security risk which the commercial malls and the multinational companies in the city face, the cops have tied up with various security agencies to maintain the security of these places.
