New Delhi: BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Thursday invigorated the party’s Delhi Assembly campaign with two massive rallies in the Uttam Nagar and Shakur Basti constituencies, rallying support for BJP candidates ahead of the upcoming elections. Nadda, alongside local leaders, outlined his vision for Delhi’s future, while taking sharp jabs at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its alleged corruption.

In Uttam Nagar, Nadda rallied the crowd with a strong message: “Delhiites have decided to bloom the lotus and uproot the AAP government.” He sharply criticised the AAP leadership, particularly Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of indulging in widespread corruption. Nadda listed a series of scandals, including the 2800-crore liquor scam, the embezzlement of funds in water supply and health services, and misuse of public funds meant for education and sanitation.

“The person who entered politics claiming to fight corruption has instead set new corruption records,” Nadda said.

Nadda also took a swipe at Kejriwal’s government for failing to deliver on its promises, citing issues like poor water supply, unclean streets, and faulty healthcare initiatives. He said, “Under AAP, Delhi’s governance has collapsed. The city has become a garbage dump, and the government has squandered funds meant for development.”

At Shakur Basti, Nadda offered an optimistic vision for the future, underscoring the BJP’s track record of delivering infrastructure improvements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He pointed to initiatives such as the rapid expansion of Delhi’s metro network, the upcoming delivery of 2026 electric buses by 2026, and significant improvements in road and rail infrastructure, including the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.

He promised that a BJP government would ensure the implementation of welfare schemes, including healthcare coverage for all households and direct financial benefits for women and students. “On February 5, let’s vote for change, for development, and to end corruption,” Nadda concluded, urging the people of Delhi to vote for the BJP to secure a brighter future for the city.
