Regarding the mysterious case where a man was found dead with a bullet shot inside his SUV in Jamia Nagar on Monday, the Delhi Police on Wednesday have registered a murder case.

"We have registered a case under section 302 of IPC and are probing the murder angle. He was under debt and was found dead with a bullet injury. However, we are still awaiting the post-mortem report," said DCP South East Romil Baaniya.

The cops stated that the deceased was under huge debt and hence they are suspecting an involvement of a person whose money Afzal was unable to pay.

They are also raiding various places in search of people they suspect to be involved in the alleged killing.

The 37-year-old Afzal was found dead with a bullet shot in his chest under mysterious circumstances in his SUV in New Friend's colony on Monday evening.

Also, a pistol was recovered from the same SUV car.

The deceased ran a Kullad cafe (Tea stall) near Tikona park in Jamia Nagar but the cafe was demolished recently by Delhi metro.

He was also reported missing a few months earlier. Afzal's family members have also alleged that he has been murdered.

They want the accused to be caught at the earliest.
