Mother, daughter held for duping people of Rs 2.5 cr

New Delhi: South-East Delhi Police on Monday claimed that they have arrested mother-daughter duo for their involvement in duping people of Rs 2.5 crore and then fled abroad with the money.

The investigating agency arrested the accused from Surya Hotel in New Friends Colony. Police identified the accused as Anuradha Kapoor (43) and her mother Molly Kapoor (65), both resident of Greater Kailash-I.

"Accused Anuradha Kapoor was earlier arrested in the year 2015 by the Goa Police in a murder case of a casino agent, "police claimed.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Ghanshyam Bansal stated that in order to earn quick money and to live the lavish life, accused hatched conspiracy.

In the year 2014-15, both the accused persons cheated 5 different persons who were looking forward to purchasing a house in posh locality.
