New Delhi: Three female doctors and two nursing staffs were questioned by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Tuesday in regard with the twin-babies case, one of whom was wrongly declared dead by the Max Hospital in Shalimar Bagh. Police sources said they wanted to check their responsibility in the case.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Joy Tirkey confirmed the questioning of the hospital staffs and told Millennium Post that three doctors, including the medical superintendent and the doctor under whom the child got admitted in the hospital, were questioned. "We have questioned the doctors to get some clues in the case," said the DCP.
Police sources told this correspondent that they have prepared a list which contains names of doctors and other nursing staffs who are connected into the case.
The Crime Branch team, which has been investigating the case, is led by ACP Shweta Chauhan and Inspector Abhinendra Jain. DCP himself is monitoring the probe.
"We have also questioned the doctor who had signed the paper after which the baby was handed over to the parents," said police official. Police sources further claimed that two nursing staffs were questioned to know the circumstances in which baby was given to the families.
It further claimed that they have followed the order of their senior doctors and handover the babies to concern family.
On Friday, three male
doctors were questioned in which two of the doctors tried to pass the negligence on each other.
