Seven to eight miscreants robbed a Maruti Suzuki showroom on Meerut road on Wednesday night. The gang robbed the store of more than 15 lakh rupees and are absconding.
The robbers who were armed with pistols held the security guards of the showroom and damaged CCTV cameras before leaving the shop. They emptied the looted cash in a box and fled the spot in a van.
"They held the two security guards hostage. The Maruti Suzuki showroom is called the Regent Maruti Suzuki. We are trying to look at the CCTV footage to identify the offenders," said Salman Taj Patil, Superintendent of Police.
