NOIDA: A seven-year-old in Noida's Sector-15 was allegedly raped by a man living in her neighbourhood, with police saying that the medical report of the girl did not confirm rape, while the accused is on the run.
Narrating the ordeal, the victim's father said that the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, but the girl told her family about it on Wednesday evening.
"I was seeing a change in her behaviour and she was very quiet. On Wednesday evening when I asked her, she said that our lives are in danger. When I asked her why, she told me that our neigbhour Dilshad had threatened her to kill her entire family if she revealed what happened," the father said.
He said that the girl said revealed that around 3 pm on Tuesday, Dilshad lured her to his house while she was playing outside her house.
"He took her inside his house, locked the door, took off her clothes and raped her. He then threatened to kill her family if she revealed the incident to anyone," the father added.
Based on the father's complaint, police registered a case under sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act against Dilshad.
However, a senior police official said, "The medical examination of the girl did not confirm rape but we are investigating the case. The accused Dilshad is absconding. We have formed teams to nab him."
