'Juvenile among 3 involved in OLA driver murder'

New Delhi: Two persons were arrested and one juvenile was apprehended for killing an OLA driver in Haryana. The accused were identified as Jitesh Kumar, Brij Mohan and the juvenile.

According to police, on August 10 a missing report of one Mohammad Yusuf was filed by his father. During the course of the inquiry, the father reported that on August 9, his son had gone for work in his Ola car but he didn't return. On August 11, he came to know that his son's car was found abandon in Agra.

Later on August 13, he came to know that the dead body of his son was found in the jurisdiction of Ole area in Mathura.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Nupur Prasad stated that analysis of CDR of the mobile phone of deceased Yusuf was done and the movement was found to be in the area of village - Birona Kalan, Mathura. Information was developed through secret informer and on August 18 one of the suspected Jitesh Kumar was apprehended.

He revealed that he with his associates Brijmohan and JCL planned to rob so they booked an Ola cab from Sarai Kale Khan for Village Jatoli Thoon, Rajasthan. On the way, they purchased a knife and rope from a shop at Ballabgarh, Haryana, said the DCP.

She further added that accused Jitesh Kumar put a rope around the neck of the driver and pulled the same due to which the deceased Yusuf became unconscious.

Thereafter, they took out the driver from the car by cutting his seat belt with the help of the knife. They then threw the body of Mohd. Yusuf in the canal and fled away from there with the OLA cab.

However, the GPS of the car started beeping and then seeing the police patrolling party in the way, they abandoned the OLA cab.
