: Homebuyers from various residential societies of Greater Noida West continued their protest for the 33rd week on Sunday and gathered near Ek Murti roundabout to press their demands of a stuck registry of their houses and delayed possession.
With raising slogans and holding banners in their hands, these homebuyers tried to remind the government once again that registry and possession of their houses has not been completed yet. Infuriated home buyers asked how many more years they will have to wait?
“It has been 33 weeks now since we are holding continuous protests on weekends to press our demands. Even after several rounds of meetings with government and authority, there is no result. We will continue to raise his voice on social media and on the ground,” said Abhishek Verma, president, Noida Extension Flat Owner’s Welfare Association (NEFOWA).
Homebuyers said that it is very sad as they feel neglected. “Our Prime Minister aims for home for all but we homebuyers, even after giving all our savings, are still left barehanded. We are cheated by builders and the government is not listening to us,” said Mihir Gautam, a homebuyer. He added until the registry of their houses is done, the home buyers will continue to raise their voice like this every Sunday.
