Heart-rending: Ignorant of mother's death, children tried to wake her up

New Delhi: It was the heart-wrenching scene at one of the houses in Ambrahi Extension area of Sector 19, Dwarka where the three children were pushing the body of their mother so that she can wake up and attend them. Least they know she has left the world.

One of the landlord of the house, Jaycharan, was eating breakfast when two children came to his house and told them that a woman was lying unconscious after which the landlord and his wife rushed to the spot and found the deceased Amrika Devi, lying with a blood coming from her nose and the face turned blue.

"The children were there at the spot. While one of them was crying, another was pushing her mother to get up but the woman had died," said Jaycharan. He then made a PCR call and alerted the police about the murder.

The children were so frightened that they were not able to speak properly.

"One of them was able to tell their name properly," said one of the neighbours. Inside the house, things were found scattered.

The neighbours might have come to know after they heard the children crying.

When Jaycharan asked the neighbours about the family, he came to know that the couple had a fight everyday after the husband got drunk.

"We have got several complaints about the fight between the couples," said the landlord.

The family started living there just 10 to 15 days ago.

"Police are probing the whole matter. Hope the accused who is involved in the incident should be arrested soon," said one of the neighbour.
