Four held for bludgeoning 62-yr-old to death in Ranhola

New Delhi: Four persons, including a diploma holder, who thrashed a 62-year-old man to death were arrested from Dwarka, Delhi Police said on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Chandresh Ram, had objected to the nuisance being created by the accused after getting drunk in their office, located near the victim's residence, in Ranhola.
Police claimed that the accused had hit him with a baseball bat and later they attacked other residents as well.
According to police, the accused were identified as Sandeep Sehrawat (34), Satish (34), Sanjeev (34) and Sonu (22). On December 27 last year, two of the accused persons, Sandeep and Satish were released on bail from jail in a case registered under Arms Act.
"The other accused persons accompanied them from Tihar Jail to their office in Harphool Vihar, Baprola, where a celebration was organized and they started consuming alcohol," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Bhisham Singh.
He added that after the party, the accused persons became aggressive and wild and started misbehaving with local residents and thrashed them with baseball bats and sticks in an inebriated state.
Chandresh Ram died in the incident and several other people sustained injuries. In the aftermath of the incident, local residents protested outside the accused's office and vented their ire.
After this, the mob became violent and set three cars, one motorcycle and office of the accused persons to fire.
Police claimed that the accused were arrested on the basis of an information from DDA Park, Sector-13, Dwarka.
Sandeep Sehrawat is a diploma holder in Automobile Engineering from Pusa. He completed his diploma in 2007.
On interrogation, the accused persons confessed to their involvement in the murder and subsequently, they were arrested under appropriate sections of law.
"Concerned authorities have been informed regarding the arrest of the accused persons. Efforts are being made to nab the remaining absconding accused," said the DCP.
The team which made the arrest was formed under ACP (Crime) Aditya Gautam.
