A Chinese national, who is a student of Delhi University, has alleged that she was molested by a flower pot vendor at her Greater Kailash's rented accommodation. The 22-year-old girl said in her complaint that the vendor harassed her for some days forcing her to buy the pots and on Monday, molested her. Later, Delhi Police arrested the flower pot vendor on charges of molestation after a massive search.

The girl said that when the vendor visited her, he touched her inappropriately and finally she decided to lodge a police complaint. However, the girl was not able to provide more input apart from the physical features of the accused. The victim said that the man had been trying to sell the flower pots to her for some days before he finally molested her.

On inquiry, the cops found that the man had stopped visiting the locality after the incident. The police then talked to several neighbours and with the help of the victim's description, got the sketch of the man made. Soon, the sketch yielded positive results and finally Avinash, alias Mahavir, was caught.

"We arrested the accused Avinash from Badarpur after we got the sketch made from the victim's description. We have arrested him under Section 354 of the IPC," said DCP (South-east) Romil Baniya.
