New Delhi: Delhi Police on Wednesday said a case has been registered after a man alleged that his three-and-a-half-year-old daughter was assaulted in her school in north west Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Aslam Khan said investigation has began and cops have not ruled out the role of any school staff or an acquaintance.
"The girl is perfectly fine and is at her home. A case under Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act has been registered," said the senior officer.
She further said that doctors stated that the girl was not raped, but touched.
The incident came to light on Tuesday, after which the family members lodged the complaint with police.
