Gurugram: An ex-Haryana police official who has also served as a village head (sarpanch) in a village in Jhajjar was shot dead in Gurugram late Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Roshan Lal who had a flat in Dwarka Expressway.
Bullet wounds have been found on the deceased head, hand, and chest. According to law enforcement officials Lal had taken premature retirement from the Haryana police and had started his own property business. The Gurugram police suspect that the main cause of killing would have been a personal enmity. According to the investigators before the murder, a middle-aged woman had come to meet the victim. After a brief discussion, the woman and the victim can be seen moving outside the flat following which the murder of the ex -Haryana police officials may have taken place. "We have registered the case under Section 302(murder) of the Indian Penal Code and have begun our investigation We are trying to retrieve the CCTV images. It is believed that before the murder the deceased met a woman which we consider as one of the suspects. The woman has not been arrested yet," said a senior police official.
