The Meteorological Department had forecast generally cloudy sky with light rain and thundershowers.

This is not the first time this week that rain has caused waterlogging in the Capital. Heavy rains lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Saturday and Sunday. Moti Bagh, Laxmi Nagar, RK Puram and Hanuman Mandir in Yamuna Bazar were among the areas where waterlogging had been reported.

Officials of the MeT department said, "Monsoon trough continues to run across the northwestern plains, along with the persistent cyclonic circulation, over Haryana and adjoining areas. With this, weather conditions will remain favorable for rains to continue for at least the next two days, though with reducing intensity."

"Major clearance would come after September 10, wherein wind pattern will undergo a change from humid to dry northwesterly. Besides this, we would see bright sunshine, leading to an increase in temperatures. The only good news would be in terms

of reduction in humidity,"

they added.
