New Delhi: The Economic and Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police is now probing a case of fraudulent transfers of shares by other shareholders of real estate company.
Confirming the development the Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) Suvashis Choudhary told Millennium Post that a case has been registered in this regard and investigation is going on.
Additional CP further said that the case was registered on the complaint of one Anil Dwarika Prasad. The complainant alleged that he was a 50 per cent shareholder in the company identified as Mahamaya Buildcon.
"Other shareholders fraudulently transferred his shares by forgery with intent to usurp the company," said Addl CP Suvashis Choudhary. Two persons are named as suspects in the case.
"On January 2016, the suspects have in connivance of each other illegally without the consent of the complainant have transferred the 5000 shares of the complainant in the favour of one of the suspects with the intent to usurp the company as well as to usurp the properties owned by the company (including the land measuring 10,700 square feet in Aligarh worth approx Rs 30 crores," the complainant told the police.
He further told police that no signature or acknowledgement of any such transaction was signed or ratified by the complainant, no transfer deed was signed or executed by him in respect to shares of the complainant in the company.
Police have registered a case under sections 406,420,468,471 and 120 B of IPC at EOW police station.
Cheating case against vehicle showroom
In another case, EOW has started their probe in the case of cheating allegedly done by a motor vehicle showroom situated in South East Delhi.
The complainant in the case told the investigators that in the year 2018 he booked a car and paid money. The showroom assured that the vehicle will be delivered in last week of February.
"When I reached there to take the delivery I found the showroom locked and employees there told me that the showroom is locked for last one week," the complainant told police adding that he had come to know that many others have also been cheated like him.
