Elderly woman found dead in Hauz Khas

New Delhi: A 67-year-old woman was found dead in her residence in Hauz Khas area. Police claimed that the house appeared to be ransacked and the entry of the accused seems to be friendly. The deceased was identified as Usha who lived in DDA flats.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Romil Baaniya stated that a PCR call was received in Hauz Khas police station at 4:58 pm on Monday regarding a woman lying unconscious at her residence.
"On reaching the spot, she was found dead with head injuries. No signs of forcible entry, but friendly entry is likely; the house appears to be ransacked, loss of valuables if any is being ascertained," said the DCP Romil Baaniya.
It is suspected that the woman was "hit with heavy object like weight dumbells. Police have started their investigation and questioned the neighbours and her relatives to shed more light in the case. The investigating team had also inspected the house and is making a list of valuables which have been stolen.
On Friday, a 75-year-old woman was killed in South West Delhi's Najafgarh area. Police claimed that they have found the entry in the house friendly.
On April 17, a 78-year-old man was murdered in her residence in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area. During the investigation, police team found that the entry of the accused was friendly and few household articles and almirahs found to be touched.
