Ending all the issues posed by the buyers, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Wednesday issued a final show cause notice to the Jaypee builder's group over the delay in possession of flats. Also, for keeping the construction work stagnant over seven years.

The builder has been asked to act within next seven days or face actions from the authority.

On Tuesday, the authority held a meeting between the builder and the buyers of various housing projects of the Jaypee group.

In the meeting, the homebuyers alleged they faced severe hardships because of the builder for many years. "Even after making full payments, we are forced to live in the rented apartments," alleged buyers.

They also stated that the projects were launched in 2010 and still no hopes of getting the already paid flats, the buyers echoed. Turning violent, they raised slogans against the builder. Somehow the authority officials managed to pacify the situation.

"We are seeking a written declaration from the builder that within what period of time, the homebuyers will be getting possession over their flats. In case if the builder fails, proper details of the project must be provided. If the builder does not take the notice seriously, strict actions will be taken against him," said Shailendra Bhatia, Officer on Special Duty, YEIDA.
