Saying 'NO' to have sex with his girlfriend proved costly for a 35-year-old man, whose genitals were chopped off by the enraged 22-year-old girl in Mangolpuri.
The alleged accused is absconding along with her family, said police.
Immediately, the wounded was rushed to the hospital and operated. His condition is said to be stable.
The victim, a street vendor, on Wednesday night received a call from the sister-in -law of his girlfriend who said that she wanted to meet him urgently.
He was asked to reach their home immediately.
"The man went to their place at around 11:30 pm. It was then he found himself in trouble," said a police official.
The 22-year-old accused was furious as she suspected him of having an affair and hence started forcing him to have sex with her.
However, the man refused to the same and instead scolded her.
Following this, the infuriated girl then dragged him to a room and undressed him.
"When the man refused to have sex with her again, she got a knife and allegedly chopped off her genitals," added the police officer.
As the man rushed out of the room bleeding profusely, the neighbours informed police of the incident.
Soon, the police team reached the spot and rushed the man to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.
The doctors immediately operated him and his genitals which were half slashed were successfully joined.
"We have taken the statement of the victim. On the basis of it, we have registered a case of voluntarily causing grievous injury against the girl," added the police officer.
The girl and the man were into a relationship for almost four years.
Off late she insisted him for marriage when things started to sour between the couple.
Police said that the accused is absconding along with her family and teams are formed to arrest her.
