After 12 hours of extensive search in North Delhi's Bonta Park, Delhi Police on Saturday managed to find the body of a woman who was murdered by her husband over some differences.

The police team scanned the entire area in the ridge after the accused Manoj, a resident of Kanjhawala, admitted that he killed Komal and hid her body in the area.

On early Saturday, a team of policemen along with sniffer dogs scanned the entire park to search for clues as to where Komal's body was hidden.

"Initially the accused was not able to identify the exact spot where he murdered his wife and hid the body. But later on, we finally traced the body." said Jatin Narwal, DCP North.

Manoj had married Komal after they fell in love around two years ago, when Komal used to work in a bar in Gurugram.

However, soon after their marriage, differences cropped up between the couple over several issues.

This culminated in Manoj deciding to eliminate his wife. With the intention of killing her, he took her to Bonta Park on Friday.

The unsuspecting Komal followed Manoj and after spending some time at the park, he strangulated her.

Manoj then hid Komal's lifeless body between rocks in the park and fled.

Suspecting that something was amiss, Komal's family approached police and the cops launched a search operation for her.

Police also interrogated Manoj at length and soon he broke down and confessed to the murder.

The police team then took him to Bonta Park, where he said he murdered Komal and hid her body.

The police are now investigating whether Manoj had any additional motive to murder his wife, other than the marital differences he claims had come up over the years.
