Hours after a CBI team visited Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's residence to seek his clarification in an ongoing inquiry related to the 'Talk to AK' program, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on slammed Sisodia, asking him not to indulge in politics over the issue and cooperate in the investigation process. "It will be better if instead of playing politics he (Sisodia) cooperates in the inquiry process.
He should either prove his government's innocence or be ready to face the legal consequences," Tiwari said in a statement. Attacking the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government, Tiwari said: "Allegations of financial irregularity in conduct of the programme 'Talk to AK' have constantly been coming up against the Delhi minister and even the Shunglu Committee has raised the matter. Giving a contract of Rs 95 lakh on the basis of just a single tender is open loot of public money." He also added that the Kejriwal government had put undue pressure on the officials to arrange a recently 'Facebook Live programme'.
