South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Tuesday has flagged of 50 auto tippers equipped with PA system to disseminate the message to prevent Dengue, Chikungunia and Malaria.
The tippers will spread the precautionary message while picking up garbage from the localities.

Mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat said that it is necessary to generate awareness to control these diseases.

The purpose of this exercise is to bring awareness in SDMC jurisdiction by motivating people to adopt precautionary measures.

"There is no treatment of Dengue and Chickungunia. It can only be controlled by bringing behavioral changes in ourselves," she said.

"As we all know that breeding of Aedes mosquito can be in freshwater only, if we keep water tanks, coolers, flower pots and utensils dry then it is easy to stop breeding," added Sehrawat.
The similar functions were also organised in the other three zones.

The Deputy Mayor Kailash Sankla flagged of 88 auto tippers from the zonal office of the west zone at Rajouri Garden.

Similarly member of standing committee Bhupender Gupta also flagged of 70 similar auto tippers from Najafgarh zone, while another member Shika Rai also flagged of another 80 similar auto tippers from the South Zone in the national Capital.
