Two separate fire incidents were reported in Delhi on Monday. The blazes were reported from the Election Commission of India office at Ashoka Road and Western Court in Janpath.
No casualties were reported in both the incidents.
According to a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official, the first fire was reported in the afternoon, when a minor fire broke out at the Election Commission of India office at Ashoka Road.
After the fire was reported, four fire tenders were deputed to the spot.
"The call was received at 12 pm. We managed to control the fire within five minutes. The fire started from an electrical switchboard. No casualties or loss of property was reported," the fire official said.
The second incident was reported after another minor fire was seen at the rear end of the Western court in Central Delhi's Janpath area.
The blaze erupted from a storeroom located outside the Western Court.
Fire officials deputed four fire tenders to the spot.
"Inside the storeroom, there was a pile of furniture. The fire must have started from that room. The fire tenders which were pressed into service managed to control the spread of fire," the fire official said.
However, the officials of the Delhi Fire Services are still trying to ascertain as to how the fire had started inside the storeroom.
"There was no damage to Western court as such, since the storeroom was located in a plot behind the court," the official added.
