A 25-year-old man was lynched in East Delhi's Pandav Nagar, after locals spotted him taking a four-year-girl to isolated spot in a park to molest her.

On Thursday evening, the man was spotted by some local residents of the area and caught red-handed molesting the girl. Soon, a large crowd gathered and thrashed the man senseless. After cops were informed, the man was taken to the hospital and admitted in a critical condition. On Saturday morning, he died in the hospital.

"The man was thrashed by the public who caught him with the girl in a park. He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital." Joint CP, Eastern Range, Ravinder Yadav said.

It was reported that the man was unemployed and a drug addict. He resided nearby the girl's house in Pandav Nagar, which is believed to be the reason why he was successful in luring the girl.
