A day after Gurugram Police claimed to have cracked the Manesar gang rape case, more cases of crimes against women were reported on Thursday that again raised questions on the working of the city police.
On Thursday, a minor hailing from Pataudi area visited the Deputy Commissioner and the Gurugram Police Commissioner and complained of her being pressured into withdrawing the complaint of the gang rape she had filed.
The girl who is a school going student alleged that there were also certain police officers that were in negotiations with her and her family in withdrawing the case.
The girl had filed a complaint on May 15 stating that she was raped by two men in her area. She also highlighted that even after various pleas, they were not being interrogated by the police.
She also mentioned that she will be forced to flee her village along with her family if the pressures continue and no justice will be delivered to her.
Two more cases of crimes against women were registered in city police stations on Thursday.
In the first case, a woman of Nepali descent, filed a complaint that a group of men barged into her house and tried to molest her, while in the second case, the woman complained that she was being forwarded objectionable content on her phone.
The cases have been filed at the Palam Vihar Police Station and the Woman Police Station in the city.
