The Noida Authority held a meeting led by the Chairman of Noida and Greater Noida authority Dr. Prabhat Kumar along with the Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority Amit Mohan Prasad on Friday to clear a proposal to provide Rs 158 crores for the development of rural areas of the city. Also, Rs 1058 have already been allocated to various development and health programmes in the urban sector of the city.
In addition, the board meeting has also sought to provide a big relief to the farmers who have filed their petition in the high court. Following the orders from the High Court, the board has approved the proposal to provide money to the 5 percent of the land acquired by the authority to the farmers as the authority is running short of land.
Earlier it was decided by the authority to provide 5 per cent developed plots to more than 2000 farmers in Noida in lieu of the abadi lands acquired from them by the government between 1997 and 2008 but due to the non-availability of land in Noida, the board has sought to provide them the equivalent amount.
In its meeting on Friday, the Noida Board has also revised the payment of the lease rent policy.
"As of now the payment of lease rent were taken on one-time basis but now they can be received on yearly basis. We have also issued the last date for submitting one-time lease rent fees which is decided to be September 30, 2017. After this the payments will be taken on a yearly basis only," said a senior official from Noida Authority.
Acting big on the problem of Domestic Garbage Decomposition in the city, the board has decided to implant Fully Automatic Composter in 25 residential sectors of the city which will be jointly funded by the Residential Welfare Association of that particular sector. "For this, the RWA will provide 25 percent funds while 75 percent of the funds will be provided by the authority," said an official from Noida authority.
Among the rejections, the proposal Transport Nagar policy,2015 proposed for Noida has been rejected in the board meeting. The decision has been taken following the orders from High Court that came on May 3, 2017. The people who have submitted their applications in the same will be refunded with their fees along with six percent interest.
This was the 192nd board meeting and it approved the proposed expenditure of Rs 8070 crores for the financial year 2017-18. The funds will be allocated to various development and pending schemes in rural as well as urban areas.
