After scoring lowly in the state election board examinations and also losing out to its peers in the CBSE results, the ICSE results declared on
Monday gave Gurugram a moment of joy.
The schools of Gurugram that are affiliated to ICSE improved their performances in Class 10 and Class 12 ICSE results with most of the schools registering a pass percentage of 100.
With 99.25 percent, Keerthana Srikanth of Scottish High School was the Delhi-National Capital Region topper. She was followed by her counterpart Shivang Singh who scored 98.75 percent and came second in the Delhi –NCR.
Interestingly, both Keerthana and Shivang were also the Head Boy and the Head Girl in Scottish High school.
Even the third position in the Delhi- NCR was attained by city student Aditi Pasricha from Sri Ram School who scored 98.25 percent in Humanities.
"I never intended to get such a high percentage. My main aim was to tackle each subject one by one and get good marks in them.
I wish to pursue computer engineering. Being inspired by personalities like Gandhi and APJ Abdul Kalam I wish to do something for the society," said Keerthana Srikanth.
Besides preparing for engineering, Keerthana also has a knack for learning music. Keerthana is learning to play instruments like Guitar and Violin.
"I know it is easier said than done but to succeed in these competitive examinations, you need to have a calm head. I tried not to take pressure and stress during the examinations and I think that sailed me through," said Shivang Singh.
When asked about his future course of action, Shivang said that he may consider joining politics.
While, Aditi Pasricha from Shri Ram School wishes to be a designer.
