Since the organ donor should be one of the family members of the recipient as per the laws, the accused forged the identity of the donor Jaideep.
They not only gave him a new name, Polepeddy Snayna Podma Phani Kumar but also made fake documents like Aadhar Card, Election Identity Card, and Passbook of State bank of India under this name for authenticity purpose.
Jaideep was now Polepeddy Snayna from Hyderabad on papers. The team of racketeers then went way ahead and did something unimaginable. They took Jaideep to a salon in Pacific Mall and spent 2600 rupees on his makeover so that he physically resembles a Hyderabadi.
Following his haircut and makeup, Jaideep who was from Sekar, Rajasthan looked exactly like a South Indian ready to dodge any suspicions. His attire was changed and he was made to move around with the recipient family in the city. The men running the racket also clicked photographs of Jaideep with the family so that they can produce a visual proof whenever required.
"It is hard to believe that Jaideep was even given a tutorial on his diction so that his accent matches that of a South Indian. He was made to practice his forged name several times in a day," said Sanjay Sehrawat, ACP Crime.
Sources told Millennium Post that a nurse got suspicious about Jaideep's diction but he managed to dodge her.
"Pronouncing my new name with a different diction was a challenge for me but I had to do it as I wanted to reach the bottom of this," said Jaideep.
The meticulous homework of the racket has even shocked the crime branch officers who now feel that the tentacles of this racket are spread pan India.
