Mediating at a heated debate between a father and son proved to be costly for two young men after they were brutally stabbed for just being responsible neighbours.
Late on Monday night, Manjeet and Deepak were stabbed by Vikas after they tried to be the peacemakers in a quarrel between Vikas and his father. The deadly incident which occurred in New Palam Vihar resulted in the death of Manjeet and left Deepak seriously injured.
A case has been lodged against Vikas under Section 302 of IPC. According to police sources, Manjeet and Deepak, neighbours to Vikas, were constantly disturbed by the repeated arguments between Vikas and his father.
On Monday night, when the argument became louder with abuses being hurled, Manjeet and Deepak decided to intervene in the matter.
Already troubled with the ongoing situation and further enraged by the involvement of Manjeet and Deepak, Vikas stabbed Manjeet and Deepak in the fit of rage causing the death of Manjeet and seriously injuring Deepak.
Both Manjeet and Deepak hail from Jhajjar. Even as a case has been lodged against Vikas, the police have sought a report on the mental status of the accused.
