Noida Special Task Force arrested a wanted contract killer, who was accused in the murder of a Block Basic Education Officer in Aligarh.
The accused murderer is a sharp shooter of Neeru gang and around four cases of murder, Arms Act and Gangster Act have been registered against him, said police officials.
The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) have turned strict in all the wanted criminals.
On Tuesday, the Noida STF team arrested the accused Pramod Kumar Sharma (23), a contract killer and a sharp shooter who was wanted in around four cases including murder of Jitendra Sanger, Block Basic Education Officer on December 19, 2016.
"On Tuesday, we received a tip-off that Pramod is travelling to Noida from Aligarh district. A police team was sent immediately and the accused was arrested from Qwarsi area near Aligarh. He was a sharp shooter of Neeru gang and used to commit crimes on a contract basis," said Raj Kumar Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police, STF.
"After interrogating Pramod, we came to know that Neeru Tiger – the gang leader who is in jail in a murder case – use to give him directions from the jail itself. Tiger has been charged with the murder of a village head in 2015. Pramod, Another member of the gang involved in the murder of Senger was Ram Singh, who later surrendered before the Hathras police station and was sentenced under Section 384 IPC," added Mishra.
