NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, contesting from Kalkaji Assembly constituency, held a grand nomination rally on Monday, which saw an overwhelming turnout. Joined by senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Atishi conducted a mega roadshow from Giri Nagar Gurudwara to Anand Mai Marg, covering nearly 1.5 kilometres.

Before the rally, Atishi visited the Kalkaji Temple for prayers and paid respects at Giri Nagar Gurudwara. Speaking to the media, Atishi expressed her gratitude to the people of Kalkaji, saying, “Today, the people of Kalkaji have shown immense support and blessing for me. I feel honored that they have placed their trust in me.” She added, “This is not just an election; it is a shared fight for better education, health, and the future of every family in Delhi.”

Manish Sisodia emphasized that Atishi’s leadership showcased the true essence of politics. “Atishi has shown that politics is not just a game of power, but a medium for service. This journey is an inspiration for every daughter and sister who wants to bring about change,” he said.

Atishi also reflected on the strong bond she shares with the people of Kalkaji, stating, “Kalkaji’s people have always treated me like a daughter, and I am confident that their blessings will remain with me and the AAP.”

The roadshow saw a sea of supporters, many of whom greeted Atishi with flowers and banners. The rally’s energetic atmosphere was further amplified by chants of “Muher Lagegi Jhadu Par,” urging voters to choose AAP. Several women actively participated, displaying banners reading, “Every woman will get ₹2,100 per month.”

Sisodia raised concerns about electoral integrity, claiming 13,000 new voter applications emerged in New Delhi constituency in just 15 days, suggesting electoral fraud. He also criticised the BJP’s stance on slums, accusing them of demolishing slums to benefit commercial interests. Atishi’s rally ended with a pledge of continued dedication to the people of Kalkaji and a call for an honest, transparent election. Her supporters rallied behind her campaign for a better future for Delhi.
