The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Director and an official, working in Delhi Development Authority (DDA), in a bribery case.
A case was registered against the accused on a complaint alleging that the accused demanded a bribe for issuing No Dues Certificate against a property located at Azad Market, Delhi.
CBI laid a trap and caught the Assistant Director red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from the complainant.
The other official (a Lower Divisional Clerk) posted in office was also arrested in the said bribery case.
Searches were conducted at the premises of both the accused which led to recovery of certain documents.
Both of them were produced on Friday before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Patiala House Court.
