Gurugram: It is not only the lack of timely delivery that is causing pain to the homebuyers but also poor quality of construction by the builders that is causing further anger. In the span of three days, hundreds of buyers have come against the builders for sub-standard construction.
All the residential societies in these areas are new construction that is just seven to eight years old and are built by prominent private developers. "Areas like New Gurgaon and Dwarka Expressway was envisioned as a new real estate revolution in Gurugram. Unfortunately, most of the projects got started in 2008 when the bad times for real estate companies had started. Rather than getting involved themselves, they outsourced the construction to various agencies that have not only resulted in delayed possession but also poor quality construction," said a property expert. "I bought a flat in the area in 2009 but have not shifted even after 8 years because of the poor infrastructure," said Raman Yadav.
