New Delhi: Gopal Rai, AAP’s Delhi state convenor and Babarpur Assembly candidate, conducted the “Babarpur Vikas Yatra” on Wednesday, which garnered significant support from the local community. The roadshow, which began at Janta Colony, saw an outpouring of enthusiasm from Babarpur residents, signalling their commitment to re-electing Arvind Kejriwal’s government for its development initiatives.
Speaking to the crowd, Rai expressed his confidence in the people’s support, stating, “The response reflects the people’s determination to re-elect Arvind Kejriwal’s government for its proven track record of development.” Rai will file his nomination for the Babarpur seat at the Nand Nagri DM office on Thursday at 11am.
Rai highlighted the ongoing momentum of the assembly election campaign in Delhi and announced the launch of padyatras across all wards and neighbourhoods from 18th January to further engage with voters. He said, “Next 15 days are crucial for shaping the constituency’s future. While today’s roadshow concludes, our campaign will continue with full vigour.” Rai also called for strong voter turnout on election day, urging residents to ensure a decisive victory for Kejriwal and the AAP. “On 5 February, we must ensure an overwhelming victory for Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP in the Babarpur Assembly constituency by turning out in large numbers to vote,” Rai emphasised. He criticised the BJP for its attempts to undermine Kejriwal’s government, stating, “The BJP is deploying its full strength to unseat Arvind Kejriwal, but we must respond with double the effort to re-elect him as CM.”
