As many as 45,327 grievances of Delhiites were successfully resolved by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's public grievance management system (PGMS) which reportedly started functioning a month after the Aam Aadmi Party came to power.
The grievance redressal forum has not only resolved the issues related to the national capital government but it has also sorted out the complaints related to the three municipal corporations.
The PGMSD in charge, Gopal Mohan, said "The CM's PGMS began working in the first month of the AAP government. Till date we have successfully resolved 45,327 cases out of which 7,406 related to the 3 MCDs."
"There is no effective grievance or problem-solving system in any of the three MCDs. That is the reason why people are turning to the CM to solve their problems at the earliest," said a Delhi government official.
The official also stated that Ajaz Ahmed, a resident of Zakir Nagar had recently bought a flat wherein he wanted to install an electricity meter.
"Ahmed approached the service provider but despite his repeated efforts, the meter could not be installed at his residence."
"Fed up with the 'lax behaviour' of power company he made an online complaint at PGMS and within a week the procedure for installation of meter started at his residence," the official added.
