Noida: In a late night robbery, nearly a dozen unidentified armed robbers committed robbery at the office of Mahagun builder in sector 63 of Noida and fled away with a safe carrying cash.
According to police, the incident took place around 2 am at builder's corporate office situated at A-19, sector 63 in Noida on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
As per reports, there were three persons present at the company including the gunman Dharampal and security guards Sajan and Pawan.
The gunman was on a round of company's campus when the robbers who entered the company premises after climbing the wall attacked him and snatched away his gun.
The robbers then thrashed him and kept the other two guards hostage on gun point when they came to rescue the gunman. All the three guards were then kept hostage and the robbery was committed.
Company officials said that the robbers fled away with safe carrying cash and other valuables in company's Santro car while a DVR of a CCTV camera was also taken away by them.
Vaibhav Krishna, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gautam Buddh Nagar said that almost a dozen men leapt over the boundary wall of Mahagun India Private Limited company's office and thrashed the security guards.
"The company's management in their complaint told police that almost a dozen men were involved in the robbery bid who barged into the office. They thrashed the security personnels and kept the three guards hostage and later fled away with a safe carrying Rs 35 Lakhs in it. A case of robbery has been registered against the crime while further investigations into the case are underway," said Krishna. The officer further said that police are looking into the company's CCTV camera to identify the criminals.
