Noida: Moonsons this year have exposed the severe negligence and the rogue nature of private builders as each day incidents of constructed and under-construction buildings collapsing in different parts of Noida and Ghaziabad districts are being reported.
In another mishap on Friday, reported from Garhi Chaukhandi village in under Sector-121 area of Noida, a three-storey under-construction building collapsed while an adjacent building also got tilted from the impact of the collapse. Fortunately, the incident left no one injured.
According to a senior official of Noida Authority, the building had been constructed illegally on the Authority's land and a notice was issued to the owner around four months ago, after which it was sealed.
Later, a team of Noida Authority officials visited the village and served notices to several unsafe buildings.
"We have demolished a few temporary and under-construction structures in the locality, while several buildings that looked unsafe were served notices. We will not allow any building being constructed illegally and will issue notices to them after conducting an audit," a senior officer said.
