New Delhi: BJP's East Delhi candidate Gautam Gambhir on Sunday responded to allegation from AAP's Atishi on him having two voter IDs. Without going into the issue, the former cricketer said that these kinds of allegations come from a place that lacks vision. Gambhir, who is a recent entrant in the saffron party and in the politics of Delhi said, "When you do not have a vision and have done nothing in the last four and a half years, you make such allegations."

After Gambhir had filed his nomination papers, AAP's East Delhi candidate Atishi had raised the point that he had two voter Ids registered under his name.

Going full offensive on BJP's Gambhir, Atishi had said that this offense would definitely disqualify him from the fight. She had also claimed that Gambhir did not specifically deny her allegations. Furthermore,

Gambhir added that the finality of the decision lies with the Election Commission and said that this mud-slinging is window-dressing to hide poor performance.

While campaigning in his constituency, he said that people with vision don't end up resorting to "negative politics". Gambhir, the fresh entrant has also had a formal complaint registered against him for holding a rally in Jangpur without the requisite permission. Gambhir will go up against Atishi and Congress' Arvinder Singh Lovely with Delhiites casting their votes on May 12.
