xGurugram: In yet another shameful incident reported from nearby Nuh, 56 km from Gurugram, a minor committed suicide after she was abducted from her house and gang-raped by seven men. Reports stated that her tormentors have not yet been arrested.
The incident was reported late Sunday night, when seven people barged into the house of the minor, who was just two months away from turning 18, and abducted her.
They then took her to a desolate spot, where they took turns to rape her. They then threatened her not to report the matter.
Vulnerable and scared over the entire incident, the minor then committed suicide by hanging herself.
Though Nuh police has officially filed a rape case, no arrests have been made yet.
The Haryana government has taken a big step towards curing heinous crimes against women.
In a major decision, the state government recently decided that rapists who assault minors of below 12 years of age will be awarded with life imprisonment or even death penalty.
The government has also put stricter retribution for molestation where the convicted culprit can serve up to two years in prison from one year initially.
