New Delhi: A 50-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in a banquet hall at Outer Delhi's Mianwali Nagar area, police said on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Ramesh, a businessman who lived with his family in Model Town area of north west Delhi.
Police claimed that the incident came to light on January 5, after a PCR call was received regarding a suicide in the banquet hall.
A police team reached the spot and the victim was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Sources claimed that the victim had written a purported suicide note on a wall, writing the name of a person and blaming him for his death.
When a senior police official was asked about details, he said the matter is under investigation.
Police claimed that they have questioned several people in this regard.
