Noida: In a tragic incident, a body of a 3-year-girl was found around 500 metres away from her house outside a temple on Wednesday morning in Bisrakh area of Greater Noida. Police said that the girl was strangulated to death before being dumping. According to the police, the deceased identified as Kusum, allegedly went missing from outside her house in Haibatpur village when the family members were sitting near the house due to a power cut on Tuesday night.
Later on Wednesday morning, her body was spotted by the locals outside a nearby Shiv Mandir with multiple injury marks and a part of her foot was also eaten up by an animal. Family members suspect the involvement of a close relative. Police have also not ruled out the involvement of her father in the case. The deceased is survived by her parents and six siblings
Satpal Singh, deceased's father told reporters that she went missing from the house at around 8 pm on Tuesday and could not be spotted as there was a power cut.
"When the electricity got restored, half n hour later, we found that our daughter is missing and immediately raised an alarm. We also made announcements with a loud speaker in the locality but failed to trace her. For the entire night we kept searching for her but could not find her and it was very unfortunate to hear the next morning that she was spotted lying dead," said deceased's father.
