New Delhi: A 23-year-old man working as a chef was thrashed in Kotla Mubarakpur area on July 16. Police said that the reason behind the incident was some altercation and two persons have been arrested in the case.
Police said that on 16th July at about 2.32 am a PCR regarding quarrel near Subhash Gali in Kotla Mubarakpur was received. On enquiries, it has been revealed that friends of injured have taken him to the hospital. At the hospital injured Pranay Pardhan was found admitted in the unconscious stage. Friends of injured namely Nitesh, Ganesh, Laxmi and Leena who were with the injured at the time of the incident were also met at the hospital.
"Statement of Nitesh was recorded who disclosed that today at about 2.15 am they all were going to their houses after attending the birthday party of their common friend.
When they reached near Subhash Gali crossing, Nanak Chand Basti they saw three young boys sitting there," police said. Police further added that some altercation took place between them overpassing from the congested street.
The altercation took violently and two of the alleged boys caught hold the injured and one of the boys hit on the head of injured with a wooden plank.
Police nabbed one Yogesh (19) and Saurav (23). Both are the residents of the same locality where the incident took place.
Injured Paranay belongs to Darjeeling and presently working in a restaurant.
Complainant Nitesh, Ganesh and Leena also belong to Darjeeling while Laxmi belongs to Nepal. "No molestation was reported," police said.
3 held with counterfeit pesticides
North district police arrested three shopkeepers with counterfeit pesticides of FMC company. Police said on the complaint of FMC company a case was registered at Sabji Mandi police station under Trade Mark Act. Raids were conducted at three places and shops. All the three shopkeepers were found possessing counterfeit pesticides.
