Greater Noida: A 17-year-old girl was abducted and gang raped by two young men living in the same village on Thursday night, with police saying they registered an FIR immediately after receiving the complaint on Sunday.
Police said the incident occurred in a village at Greater Noida's Rabupura, adding that search operations to nab them are underway.
According to police, the girl's father, in his complaint, stated that she was abducted from their house and taken to an empty house in a secluded area and raped by Arun (23) and Anil (21) on the night of March 8.
"As per the complaint given by victim's father, the girl was sleeping inside her room, while her parents were asleep in the compound when she was abducted. When they woke up, they realised that their daughter was missing. So they raised an alarm and started searching for the girl," said Rajveer Singh Chauhan, station house officer (SHO) of Rabupura police station.
Police further said that the girl returned home the next day and narrated the ordeal to her family.
"She stated that the two men, Arun and Anil, abducted her in the night and took her to a vacant house in the village, where the two took turns and raped her.
"Later, they fled after threatening the girl with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident. The girl returned home on her own in a semi-conscious state," added Chauhan.
Police said that the FIR was registered on March 11, after the family had gone to a relative's house over fearing from the threat given by the accused.
"Following a complaint filed by the girl's father, we have registered a case of rape against the two. We have sent the girl for medical examination and are waiting report. We are further investigating the case," the SHO added.
