In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Delhi government on Monday appointed heads for four crucial departments — Transport, Urban Development, Services and General Administration. These officers have been assigned these departments as additional charges.
“Sandeep Kumar, an IAS officer of 1997 batch who is presently MD of Delhi Khadi & Village Industries Board (DKVIB) will hold the additional charge of Secretary-cum-Commissioner of Transport department,” said an official order of the Delhi government. Janak Digal, an IAS officer of 1985 batch who is presently CMD of Delhi Financial Corporation has been assigned the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Urban Development.
Similarly, A Anbarasu, presently serving as Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner, Secretary-cum-Commissioner of Development and Secretary (L& B) has been assigned additional responsibility of Secretary for Department of Services. A K Singh who is Secretary-cum-Commissioner of the labour department has been given additional responsibility of Secretary GAD. These two departments — Services and GAD — were earlier held by Delhi Chief Minister’s suspended Principal Secretary Rajender Kumar who is now out on bail in an alleged case of corruption.
