The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has transferred all water services and maintenance of waterlines in the Dwarka sub-city to Delhi Jal Board (DJB), the urban body said on Saturday.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed yesterday between Chief Engineer (Dwarka) of the DDA and the Chief Engineer of DJB (South zone).

“As per the agreement, the DDA is to give Rs 50 cr to DJB towards deficiency charges for the water supply infrastructure which will be rectified by the DJB.

“The balance amount will be transferred back to DDA after incurring the expenditure on repair/fulfilling of deficiencies by the DJB,” the DDA said in a statement.

“All the residents of Dwarka sub-city are being advised that for any water problems or deficiency in services they should contact the Delhi Jal Board and a public notice in this regard is being issued by DDA shortly,” it said.
